General Manager

As a passionate newcomer to the real estate industry, Stu brings both expertise and enthusiasm to the General Manager role with Bayleys Gisborne. With over a decade of experience in the property sector he recognises the pivotal role home ownership plays in New Zealand - which drives his commitment to seeing Bayleys Gisborne excel at assisting clients to achieve their property dreams.

Having operated his own property development company, Stu possess a comprehensive understanding of the entire value chain - from sub-division and spec-home design to marketing and sales. This experience, combined with his background in banking and professional services, equips him with valuable insights into market analytics, investment, credit lending, and tailoring our services to meet client needs.

Working with Bayleys aligns with Stu's values of integrity, professionalism, and community focus. Stu thrives in leadership roles, having successfully built strong, sustainable teams and fostered environments for growth and success. Stu possesses a competitive nature that drives him to support others, while his inquisitiveness fuels his pursuit of innovative solutions and ongoing professional development.

Stu continues to actively engage with the business community through mentoring startups and championing initiatives that support our youth, including STEM programs and marine conservation efforts. Outside of work, he loves spending time with family and exploring the ocean through fishing, diving, and surfing.

With a track record of creating and growing various ventures - spanning property development, professional services, and even space-tech - Stu approaches each new challenge with optimism and a collaborative spirit.
