Dream Holiday Promotion

Terms and Conditions

By entering the Bayleys Gisborne Dream Holiday Promotion (“Promotion”), participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Promoter

Promotion Period

The Promotion commences on 8th October 2025 and concludes once 25 qualifying property sales have been completed and unconditionally sold.

Eligibility

To be eligible to enter:

  1. Vendors must list and sell a property exclusively with Jacob Geuze and/or Geraldine Joyce through Bayleys Gisborne
  2. The property must be located within the greater Gisborne East Coast region
  3. A Sole Agency Agreement of at least 90 days must have been signed and dated following the commencement of the Dream Holiday promotion
  4. The listing must become unconditional to be included as one of the 25 entrants
  5. All vendor-paid marketing and commission fees will apply at Bayleys’ standard fees and commission rates
  6. Vendors must be over 18 years of age and the registered legal owners of the property being sold
  7. Each unconditional sale equals one entry in the prize draw

Employees of Bayleys Gisborne, associated sponsors, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

How to Enter
  • List your property with Jacob and/or Geraldine during the Promotion Period
  • An entry is confirmed and included upon unconditional sale of the property
  • Each eligible sale counts as one entry into the prize draw
  • The winner will be drawn from the first 25 qualifying sales
Prize Details
  • The prize consists of a $10,000 travel credit redeemable through World Travellers Gisborne – Elliot Travel
  • The prize is not exchangeable, or redeemable for cash
  • Any costs exceeding the $10,000 value are the responsibility of the winner
  • The Promoter is not responsible for any variations, cancellations, or restrictions imposed by the travel provider
Winner Selection
  • The winner will be established through a Snail Race which will be conducted publicly at Bayleys Gisborne and will be independently witnessed
  • The Snail Race will take place once 25 qualifying sales have been achieved
  • If a contestant cannot be present during the race event, they may allocate another person as their representative snail racer
  • The winner will be notified in person (if present) and by phone/email within five (5) working days
  • If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, fails to provide proof of eligibility, or breaches these Terms and Conditions, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the contestant whose snail placed second
Prize Conditions
  • The winner agrees to make themselves reasonably available for promotional purposes, including photography and media coverage
  • By accepting the prize, the winner consents to Bayleys Gisborne using their Sold property address, name, and image in publicity materials, social media, and press releases
  • The Promoter may provide the winner’s details to the travel provider if necessary for the purpose of awarding the prize
General Rules
  1. The Promoter’s decision is final in all matters relating to the Promotion
  2. Bayleys Gisborne reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Promotion or substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value without notice
  3. The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms and Conditions or acts in a way deemed inappropriate, unlawful, or contrary to the spirit of the Promotion
  4. The Promotion is governed by New Zealand law
  5. By entering, vendors agree that Bayleys Gisborne’s determination of eligibility, prize winner results, and all other matters relating to the Promotion are binding
  6. Any disputes arising in connection with the Promotion shall be resolved in good faith between the parties. Failing agreement, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts
Liability
  • The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, delay, or injury suffered by any entrant or winner, including in connection with travel arrangements.
  • The Promoter is not liable for any incidents/accidents that occur as part of the travel
  • The Promoter will not be liable for failure to provide the prize due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including natural disasters, pandemics, or regulatory restrictions).
  • If the prize is supplied by a third party, Bayleys Gisborne accepts no responsibility for its quality or provision.
Privacy
  • By entering, participants consent to the collection, storage, and use of their personal information by Bayleys Gisborne for the purposes of administering this Promotion and for future Bayleys promotional communications.
  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and Bayleys’ privacy policy: https://www.bayleys.co.nz/privacy.
  • Entrants have the right to access and correct their information
Social Media
  • Where the Promotion is promoted on social media platforms, entrants’ conduct must comply with the rules of those platforms.
  • The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook, Instagram, or any other social platform.
